The Company

New Company - Familiar Face. If you have installed a new press or had your original system converted, successfully, in the last 10 years with a chambered doctor blade system; it was probably me! During this time, I maintained the interests of the Tresu Group in the U.K. in a period when, the expectations of the chamber system changed dramatically. It has now become an integral part of the high speed, high volume manufacturing process. Quick turn round, fully protected and enhanced on all substrates and that is just the basics. My background is in engineering. I am an apprentice trained millwright, capable of manufacturing parts and installing them, working to very strict tolerances. I first came into contact with paper and print when I assembled and installed Unwind/Rewind Auto splice unit for offset webs, moving into high speed die-cutting and Flexo-graphic print in corrugated and now Chambered Doctor Blade systems predominantly in offset for Heidelberg, Komori, KBA, Mitsubishi and Roland Litho-presses. More recently chamber systems in Flexo, on F&K, Sciavi and Gopfert systems.

I quickly found out, even if I was the best engineer in the world, to make a chamber system work to its potential I had to become an applications engineer and a chemist. I had to know the reaction of paper, card and plastics to all variations of varnishes and because I concentrated purely on the coating unit I discovered problems a normal print demonstrator may only see once in a lifetime.
